GEODefense Swarm: Medium Level 6 – Infiniconda
Posted by Tim Golen in GEODefense on October 13, 2009
This is my strategry for the medium level 6, Infiniconda, for the iPhone game GEODefense Swarm.
No Lives Lost:
- Build the line of blaster towers from the bottom to the top
- Build the line of missile towers from the bottom to the top
- Upgrade all missile towers to level 6
- I also upgrade the bottom 6 blaster towers to level 7
- You need to be careful upgrading so you don’t let any go through since there aren’t any breaks between waves

GEODefense Swarm: Medium Level 5 – Inward Spiral

This is my strategry for the medium level 5, Inward Spiral, for the iPhone game GEODefense Swarm.
No Lives Lost:
- Start with the laser tower at the top
- Add 6 blaster towers going from the laser tower down to the bottom (3 on each side)
- Continue adding blaster towers toward the bottom always keeping one more blaster tower on the right side than on the left side
- Once you’ve built the central path leading to the exit, start building the line of blaster towers from the lower left, around the top and to the lower right
- Now you can add blaster towers in the gaps and laser towers at the end of the straight paths
- Upgrade what you can

This is my strategry for the medium level 4, The Long Way, for the iPhone game GEODefense Swarm.
No Lives Lost:
- Plug up most of the wholes you can with blaster towers to make a nice long maze
- Add missile towers in the empty areas
- Upgrade the missile towers as much as you can
GEODefense Swarm: Medium Level 3 – Y Me?

This is my strategry for the medium level 3, Y Me?, for the iPhone game GEODefense Swarm.
I finally beat this level, but lost most of the lives. I tried to follow Jeff’s advice and made a slight modification.
- Place two laser towers in the center of the Y
- Place two laser towers on the edge
- Place two shock towers
- Upgrade everything as much as you can
My strategy has been to upgrade everything evenly, but the key to this level might be to put more power on the right side. I think the two laser towers in the center are critical since they can both hit each wave of creeps equally. However, the next to last wave are the slow, yellow creeps so you don’t need quite as much firepower on the left side to take care of them. The last wave are the red squares and a lot of them, so you need more firepower on the right side to try and take care of those. These are just my thoughts… I hope it can help someone figure this one out without losing any lives!

GEODefense Swarm General Strategies
Posted by Tim Golen in GEODefense on October 1, 2009
These are some of the typical strategies I use when I approach a level. Feel free to comment and let me know what some of the strategies are that you use!
- If I’m going to be building a big maze, I build it completely with lvl 1 towers, then once it’s complete I begin upgrading the necessary items.
- A great way to bottleneck the creeps is to have missile towers on both sides, and a row of shock towers behind your missile towers. It’s a little hard to get started with that, but once you get both missile and shock towers to lvl 4 it really starts to do the damage. It’s even better if you can get the creeps to come back and go through the gauntlet again (just to the side of the original path), see that strategy here.
- If you’ve got some long straight paths, place 3 laser towers at the end and at the beginning of the path. Also make sure to lock them in place.
- Thumper towers go great at the end of a path where the creeps wrap all the way around it 180 degrees.
- If you want to go for a high score, you just need to start building at the finish spot. I think people cheat to get high scores though… Some of the scores are absolutely outrageous.
- The timing at which you upgrade towers can be crucial. Upgrade towers when there are no creeps for them to shoot at.
Post your strategies!

No Lives Lost:
- Start with the six blaster towers placed like the image
- add five more blaster towers
- add the top-most missile tower, then the left-most missile tower, then the middle missile tower, then the shock tower. If you don’t do them in that order you might lose some creeps.
- add 5 more missile towers going down the left side
- complete the maze with blaster towers
- add three more shock towers in the middle and two shock towers at the top
- add four missile towers to the left
- Now upgrade all of your missile and shock towers

- Start with placing all the blaster towers you see. Start with the three at the top to plug up the wholes, then do the three vertical ones in the middle. Keep adding blaster towers to the maze until they connect to the bottom vortex tower
- Add all of the missile towers (top to bottom)
- Add all of the shock towers (top to bottom)
- Add the laser tower and connect it to the bottom vortex
- Now upgrade the missile, shock, and laser towers until you win!

GEODefense Swarm: Easy Level 8 – Road not Taken
Posted by Tim Golen in GEODefense on September 26, 2009
This is my strategry for the easy level 8, Road not Taken, for the iPhone game GEODefense Swarm.
No Lives Lost:
- start with a blaster tower to direct the creeps down the rightmost path, place two thumper towers in the top-right corner, place a single missile tower below the thumper towers to block the path
- Place a missile tower in the top-left position
- place a missile tower in the lower-left position
- now place the two missile towers in the top corner
- begin upgrading the missile and thump towers. I always start with the thump towers and then work my way counter-clockwise with the missile towers starting from the lower-left position
- near the end I added three more missile towers to help things out
- I got my thumper towers to level 7, and left all the missile towers at level 6
