I have a Ford F-150 2022 and I took it through a car wash tonight. While driving home, I noticed that the rear passenger dome light was on. When I got home, I turned the truck off and the light would not turn off. Neither by the dome light switch, nor automatically after locking the truck.

After doing some Googling to find other folks with the same problem, I tried a few ideas and finally got the light to turn off. Here is what I did:

  1. Get in the truck, but not turn it on
  2. To the left of the steering wheel is a control to increase and decrease the dashboard light intensity. I turned it all the way up, then all the way down.
  3. Sit for a few moments until all the lights automatically turn off
  4. At this point the dome light was still on
  5. I pressed the dome light button for the light that was on, and this time the light properly responded and turned off

I hope you find this and it fixes your problem!
